CBWN will be the subject of a feature article about “Women in Business” in conjunction with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta. In cooperation with its partners at the Alberta Accountants Unification Agency, Capitalize is currently preparing the spring issue of their magazine, their semi-annual student magazine. The publication, which is distributed to more than 4,500 readers, introduces students to the Alberta accounting profession, as well as addresses broader career-related topics and issues. Click here for the current issue of Capitalize, as well as back issues.
Historically, the magazine has been directed at students pursuing the CA designation, but now with unification in Alberta, we are pleased that we will be able to broaden our focus and write this issue for all students pursuing accounting and will get to profile all designated professionals.
Our feature article about “Women in Business” will address how we became owners/directors with the Calgary Business Women Network, and how CBWN has made a difference in the business careers of women in Calgary. Women are feeling more empowered today than ever to take the lead and become some of the best business leaders in North America. How have things changed for women in business? What are some of the challenges we’ve overcome? These are some of the various topics to be covered in this article.
